Perth-based digital transformation specialists Silverhorse Technologies has struck a deal with oil and gas producer Beach Energy to roll out its completions and commissioning software for the Otway Offshore Project.

The deal sees the company’s AssetHive Lite software (formerly Completions Connect) help manage the Otway Offshore Project’s Phase 4 modifications which includes upgrades to the Thylacine Platform and subsea infrastructure.

The scope covers the installation of seven electrical flying leads and two hydraulic flying leads, production spool leak testing and electrical and hydraulic function testing.

“This is a significant contract win for Silverhorse Technologies as our business continues to grow across the oil and gas industry”, said Silverhorse Technologies CEO Raymond Weeda.

“AssetHive Lite will offer a single repository for validation and certification activities to be carried out for all mechanical, electrical, instrument and controls work at the Otway Offshore Project.
Field mobility will be enabled through the use of AssetHive Lite’s mobile application offering access to information in the field while offline.”

First commissioned in 2004, the Otway Offshore Project is located in the Bass Strait approximately 32 to 80km from Port Campbell, Victoria.

It currently supplies natural gas to Victoria via the Otway Gas Plant and is an essential energy lifeblood for the Australian East Coast.

Silverhorse’s deal with Beach Energy follows recent contract wins with the Kwinana Waste to Energy Plant in Western Australia and the WestConnex road project in New South Wales.

Weeda expects recent upgrades to Silverhorse Technologies’ AssetHive Lite solution will be attractive to the oil and gas sector.

Formerly known as Completions Connect, the beefed-up functionality offers a suite of new functions, broadening its end use application for customers. This includes a ‘Controls’ function to AssetHive Lite that allows users to impose restraints on activities based on dependencies and a new ‘Relationships’ function that enables users to create non-hierarchical linkages between objects, events and activities giving decision makers full control.

Founded in 2002, Silverhorse works in various sectors including oil and gas, civils, mining and utilities.
