An experienced VP of software and projects with contacts across the global energy sector has been hired by technology specialists Silverhorse to spearhead their plans for global expansion.

Josh Goolnik takes up the post of Silverhorse Vice President of Major Global Projects at an exciting time for the Perth, Australia based technology business. The company’s AssetHive data hub technology has already transformed operational efficiency on assets such as the Karratha Gas Plant in Western Australia, and Goolnik will be sharing knowledge and validated case studies to potential clients across Europe and the US from his base in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Goolnik is a familiar face on the international circuit having been a software product owner and an account manager for Shell, BP and Sellafield Nuclear at Wood. His connection with the team at Silverhorse dates back to when he worked for completions and commissioning management business, qedi, which Silverhorse chair Stuart McLeod headed up before it got sold to Amec and then to Wood.

“I’ve been fortunate to know Josh for many years now,” said McLeod. “His skillset is a great fit for this new role and we’re thrilled that he’s decided to embrace the challenge of driving our expansion overseas. If anyone can hit our ambitious objectives for the years ahead, it’s Josh.”
